Starting a new Gumshoe project takes just a couple of minutes, and you'll start seeing results right away.
How do I start a new project?
- From your workspace, open Projects in the left menu.
- Click Create a new project.
- Enter your brand's name or URL in the search field, then click Go.
What happens after I click Go?
You'll move through a short setup wizard before your project launches. Each step actually queries AI models for real signal about your brand, personas, and audience. See the article "What is Gumshoe doing behind the scenes while I set up my project?" for how that works.
- Confirm your brand, geography, and language. Review and edit your brand's name, URL, and Gumshoe's AI-generated summary of your brand, then set an optional location and language for your project.
- Select your product category. Choose the product category you want to track, or skip it for broader personas and prompts.
- Choose your plan. Pick the subscription that fits your needs. See our pricing page for details.
- Review your personas and prompts. Review the personas and prompts Gumshoe built for your project, and edit them if you'd like. Topics are calculated automatically behind the scenes and stay fully editable after your project is created. Pro Tip: Leave your first run unedited so you can see the raw input from the LLMs. Then go back and "tune" your project to better suit your needs.
- Select models and start project. Choose which AI models to include, then launch your project's first Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report).
Once you start your project, Gumshoe begins gathering results right away.
