Step 4 is the last step of setting up a Project. You choose which AI models your Personas talk to, check your conversation total and monthly price, and start your Project. Your first audits begin right away.
How do I choose my AI models?
Pick a preset or select models one by one. Models are grouped by provider, and every model you select answers every Prompt in your Visibility Audit.
Select the help icon next to any model to see what it is, who typically uses it, and whether it has live web search turned on in Gumshoe. Models with live search show (Web Search) in the name and return the source URLs that feed your Citations. Models without it answer from what they learned in training.

Why are some models greyed out?
Some models are part of Pro only, such as the Claude (Web Search) options. On a Starter Project they appear greyed out so you can see what Pro adds. See Does Gumshoe measure Claude's live web search?
Google Search AI Overviews may also be unavailable in some locations.
Do my model choices apply to the Pulse Audit?
No. The models you select here are for your Visibility Audit. Your Pulse Audit runs a fixed set of models that cannot be changed. See What is a Pulse Audit?
How is my price calculated?
Your conversation total is your number of Prompts multiplied by your number of AI models. The page shows that total and your monthly price as you make changes. If the total goes past your plan's included conversations, the extra conversations are billed as overage, and the price on screen already includes it. What happens when I start my Project?
A payment method is required to start. When you start, you are charged that day and your first Visibility Audit and Pulse Audit begin right away. The first run takes longer than later runs, usually 20 to 40 minutes, because it starts every audit included in your plan at once.
While it runs, you'll see a progress bar for each AI model, and partial results can appear while the rest are still loading. For what's normal, see How long should my audits take to run?
When will my Project run again?
Your Visibility Audit runs monthly, and your Pulse Audit runs weekly on Starter or daily on Pro. You can choose the day your Visibility Audit runs in your Project's Settings. See How often does my Visibility Audit run, and can I change the schedule?

Can I change my models later?
Yes. You can add or remove models anytime in your Project's Settings, and the change applies from your next Visibility Audit run. See How do I change the models in an existing visibility audit?
