You can now choose exactly which topics each prompt is assigned to in a Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report). This lets you match Gumshoe's topic structure to the way you organize your prompts internally, instead of relying only on automatic assignment.
Where do I edit a prompt's topics?
- Open your Visibility Audit and go to the Topics & Prompts page (left menu) or edit on the page when you create a new Visibility Audit.
- Find the prompt you want to change. Its assigned topics appear as tags on the prompt card.
- Hover over the topics listed under the prompt, then click Edit topics.
How do I choose which topics a prompt is assigned to?
In the Edit topics window:
- The topics currently assigned to the prompt appear at the top as tags. Click the X on a tag to remove that topic.
- Scroll the list to find a topic, then click it to assign it. A checkmark shows which topics are assigned.
- You can assign a prompt to more than one topic.
- Close the window when you are done. Your changes save to the prompt.
- The Visibility Audit must run again before the new associations appear in the audit results.
Can I assign a topic that is not in my audit yet?
The list shows the topics already in your Visibility Audit. To use a topic that is not there, add it to the Topics section first.
What happens to my topic edits if I change the prompt later?
Once you set a prompt's topics manually, Gumshoe protects those choices. If you edit the prompt text afterward, it will not automatically reassign topics with AI, so your manual selections stay in place. If you would rather have topics assigned for you, automatic assignment is still available.
