Rank shows how strongly an AI model recommends your brand when answering a specific question, not just whether it mentions your brand at all.
How is Rank different from visibility?
Visibility Scores show how frequently AI models mention your brand across all the prompts in your Visibility Audit. Rank looks at a single prompt at a time: when a model lists multiple brands in its answer, Rank reflects where your brand falls in that list.
For example, your brand might have 90% visibility (which is excellent) but consistently appear in the 6th position within a model's ranked answers. That means the model recognizes your brand but doesn't consider it a top recommendation, signaling an opportunity to improve your positioning and authority.
Where can I see Rank?
Rank shows up in a few places:
- Trends: view how your brand's rank shifts over time.
- Conversations: click into a specific model's answers for a prompt to see the ranked brand order for that model.
- Prompt history: click on any prompt from the Conversations page to open its Prompt history. The Summary tab shows a table of every brand mentioned in response to that prompt, with its visibility and rank across all the models and runs that asked it.
