Gumshoe audits come in two sizes: a smaller Snapshot Audit and a larger, full Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report). The two work the same way and show the same kinds of insights. The difference is scope: how many personas, prompts, and AI models each one covers, and how often it runs.
What is a Snapshot Audit?
Snapshot Audit describes a size, not a single thing you buy. It is a lighter, abbreviated audit that covers a smaller set of personas, prompts, and models, so it runs quickly and gives you a fast read on your brand. You will meet Snapshot-size audits in two places:
- Free Sample: the one-time audit every new account gets, so you can see how AI models talk about your brand before choosing a plan.
- Pulse Audit: a recurring, lighter check that comes with a paid subscription. It runs weekly on Starter and daily on Pro, giving you a frequent pulse on your brand between the deeper monthly runs.
What is a full Visibility Audit?
A full Visibility Audit is the larger, more complete audit. It covers more personas, prompts, and AI models than a Snapshot-size audit, so it gives you the deepest and most detailed view of your AI visibility. On a paid plan, your full Visibility Audit runs monthly, and its size scales with your plan: higher plans cover more personas, prompts, and models.
When should I look at each one?
- Use your full Visibility Audit for the complete picture: your visibility score, competitive leaderboard, persona and topic breakdowns, and citations in depth.
- Use the Pulse Audit to catch movement quickly between those deeper runs, so you notice shifts as they happen rather than waiting a full month.
- Use the Free Sample to get a first read on a new brand before you subscribe.
Together, the smaller and larger audits give you both a frequent pulse and a deep monthly view. To see what each plan includes, visit the pricing page: https://gumshoe.ai/#pricing.
