If your Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report) runs on a schedule, its subscription runs it automatically, and you can view the history of all past runs and the trend over time directly in Gumshoe.
Where do I find my trends?
The Trends page gives you a visual overview of your Visibility Audit's performance over time, helping you spot trends, track improvements, and compare AI search visibility across past runs. There is a smaller trends graph on your Audit Dashboard, and a more detailed Trends page.
To open the Trends page:
- Go to any Visibility Audit in your Gumshoe account.
- Select Trends in the left menu, under Monitor.
- Review the graphs to compare all previous runs for that audit in one place.
- Change the page filters to see different information.
Each run shows the brand's AI visibility based on the conditions and model data at that time. This is an effective way to monitor changes and improvements over time, accounting for the variability in AI model responses.
How do I view previous runs?
You can open and review any specific past run of a Visibility Audit.
To view previous runs:
- Go to your Visibility Audit's Audit Dashboard.
- Locate the timestamp near the top right (for example "Run 2 days ago").
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the timestamp.
- A list appears showing all previously completed runs of that audit.
- Click any entry to load and review the results from that specific run.
What do notice markers on trend graphs mean?
Trend graphs may include notice markers that indicate Gumshoe system-level updates or industry changes. These markers provide context for changes that could affect visibility results, such as prompt methodology updates, model upgrades, or provider version changes. When you see a notice, it means results may shift even if you have not made any changes, and neither have your competitors. Use these markers to distinguish between changes driven by outside updates and changes caused by your own optimization efforts. This helps keep trend analysis accurate and prevents misreading normal system evolution as performance issues.
