Gumshoe audits come in two sizes. A Snapshot Audit is a smaller, quicker audit that covers fewer personas, prompts, and AI models. A full Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report) is the larger audit that covers more of each for a deeper view, and its size grows with your plan. Both show the same kinds of insights. The difference is how much they cover and how often they run.
What kinds of Snapshot Audits are there?
Snapshot Audit is the smaller size, and a few audits come in that size:
- Free Sample: the one-time audit every new account gets, so you can see how AI models talk about your brand before choosing a plan. You may also hear it called a free sample audit.
- Pulse Audit: the recurring, lighter audit included with a paid subscription. It runs weekly on Starter and daily on Pro, giving you a frequent read between your deeper monthly audits. You may also hear it called a Pulse Snapshot Audit.
- Sales Audit: a smaller audit that Gumshoe agency partners use to show prospective clients their AI visibility. You may also hear it called a Sales Snapshot Audit.
You may also see the term Snapshot Audit on its own in the product. It refers to this smaller size.
What is a full Visibility Audit?
A full Visibility Audit is the larger, more complete audit. It covers more personas, prompts, and AI models, so it gives you the deepest view of your AI visibility. On a paid plan it runs monthly, and higher plans cover more personas, prompts, and models.
Can I run an audit again early to check a change?
Your full Visibility Audit and your Pulse Audit run on the schedule your subscription sets, and you cannot run either one again early to check whether a specific change worked. After you make a change, the best next step is to keep improving your technical setup, your content, and your mentions on other sites. The effect will show in your next scheduled run.
