You can edit the Personas, Topics, or Prompts in an existing Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report). Duplicating or cloning is not currently available. Editing just these lets you make small changes to "tune" a Visibility Audit over time. If you would like to use the same personas in two different projects, you can import them.
Editing Personas, Topics, and Prompts
Why edit Personas, Topics, and Prompts in an existing Visibility Audit?
- Refine Personas to better reflect your real-world audience.
- Adjust Topics so the Visibility Audit covers the most relevant themes for your business.
- Update Prompts to capture new questions customers or executives might ask.
Update these elements when you want to keep the Visibility Audit and its historical data, but make a few tweaks. Your edits save right away, and nothing you change now rewrites a run that has already happened.
When will my edits take effect?
That depends on what you edited.
Personas and prompts are sent to the AI models, so they take effect the next time your Visibility Audit runs on its schedule. Your Visibility Audit runs monthly, so check the next run date on your project to see when that is. Depending on where you are in the cycle, it can be up to four weeks away.
Topics are different. Topics are labels used to organize your audit, and they are not sent to the AI models, so changes to them apply right away. You do not need to wait for a run.
You cannot rerun a Visibility Audit yourself, but you can change the day your project runs on, which is also the quickest way to bring your next run forward. See How do I schedule a Visibility Audit to run on a specific day?
Why did my Pulse Audit pick up my edits before my Visibility Audit did?
Because your Pulse Audit runs far more often. It runs daily on Pro and weekly on Starter, so it reflects your edits at its next run rather than waiting for the monthly cycle.
One thing to know: the Pulse Audit is a bite-sized sample of your full Visibility Audit and runs only a portion of your personas. If you added several new personas, some won't appear in your Pulse Audit at all. Your Visibility Audit is the complete picture, and it uses everything you have set up.

What can I not change after a project is created?
Your brand details, product category, location, and language. Those four are set during project setup and together they define the project, so they are fixed once it exists. To track a different product line, region, or language, create a separate project.
Importing Personas
Importing personas lets you reuse proven audience definitions without creating an entire Visibility Audit from scratch. Since you can't duplicate a Visibility Audit, importing personas is the fastest way to carry forward the thinking, structure, and context from previous work while keeping each project clean and independent. It helps teams stay consistent across analyses, saves setup time, and makes it easier to build on what has already been tested and refined.
