When a project is on a paid plan, its scheduled and repeating audits are part of that subscription. You pay one flat monthly amount for the plan, and the audits run on their schedule as part of it, so a repeating audit does not add a separate charge each time it runs.
What runs on a schedule, and how is it billed?
Your plan sets the cadence. On Starter, your Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report) runs monthly and your Pulse Audit runs weekly. On Pro, the Visibility Audit runs monthly and your Pulse Audit runs daily. All of it is included in the flat monthly price, so you are billed for the plan, not for each run. The Gumshoe pricing page (gumshoe.ai/#pricing) has the current plans and what each one includes.
How do I stop the recurring runs and billing?
The recurring schedule comes with your project's subscription, so to stop the runs and the billing you pause the project's subscription on its Settings page. Pausing keeps your project and its past work in place, and you can resume anytime. You do not need to close your Gumshoe account.
What if my audit was already repeating before subscriptions?
If your Visibility Audit was scheduled to repeat as of August 17, 2026, you stay on your current pricing through the end of 2026 and it keeps running as it does today.
If it was not scheduled to repeat as of that date, it does not carry your old pricing forward. Running it again means moving the project onto a subscription plan.
How do I move a grandfathered audit onto a subscription?
Upgrading is self-serve, and it is the same flow as any other project. Open the project and look for the banner that reads "Unlock more features with subscriptions," then select "Upgrade this project." You can also find the project’s "Upgrade now" link from your Projects list.
From there you choose your plan and your AI models, and you will see the full price before you confirm anything. Your setup carries over, so there is nothing to rebuild. A payment method needs to be on file to complete the upgrade.
The newer features (Sentiment Audit, Content Audit, Citation Audit, and more) live on the subscription plans, so moving to a subscription is how you unlock them. For the full walkthrough, see our Help Center article on how to upgrade your project to a paid subscription bundle.
