You can upgrade a Project yourself, right from your account, with no need to contact us first. That includes a Free Sample or any other Project that isn't on a paid plan yet, and a Starter or Build your own Project you want to move up.
Where do I start the upgrade?
Any of these opens the Choose your plan page:
- Upgrade now on the Project's card in your Projects list, next to "This project has limited features."
- Upgrade this project in the "Unlock more features with subscriptions" banner at the top of the Project's Settings page.
- Change plan in the "Upgrade to the Playbook for more features" panel on the Project's dashboard, and on any audit page your plan doesn't include yet, such as the Content Audit.
How do I choose a plan?
On the Choose your plan page, pick one of two options:
- The Playbook ($299/mo) includes every audit. Select Choose the Playbook, then Continue.
- Build your own (starting at $99/mo) is Starter, plus one more audit if you want it. Select Build your own, tick Add for $100/mo next to the Content Audit, Sentiment Audit, or Citation Audit, then select Confirm.
The bottom of the page shows what you'll pay before you confirm. When you change a Project that's already on a paid plan, it also shows what's due today and your monthly renewal. Select Compare full plan details to see everything each plan includes.
What happens if I add a second audit?
Your Project switches to the Playbook automatically, since two added audits cost the same as the Playbook, which includes every audit.
Can I swap my added audit for a different one?
Yes. On Build your own, open Change plan, uncheck the audit you have, and check the one you want. Your price stays $100/mo for the added audit, and the new audit starts on your next scheduled run.
Does my Project's size limit which plan I can choose?
No. Every plan includes 8 Personas, 10 Prompts per Persona, and 6 AI models to start, and conversations beyond your plan's included amount are billed as overage at a per-conversation rate. A Project of any size can go on any plan, and you don't need to trim anything first. Your Project's plan total shows the full price, overage included, before you confirm. Can I move up again later?
Yes. You can move up one level at a time, from Starter to Build your own to the Playbook, and you can move to the Playbook from any plan at any time, using the same buttons inside your Project.
Can I remove an audit or move to a smaller plan?
No. An added audit can't be removed without choosing another, and a Project can't move to a smaller plan. To go smaller, select Pause subscription in the original Project's Settings and create a new Project on the plan you want. Use Import from existing during setup to bring your Personas over and save time.
Do I need a payment method on file?
Yes. A payment method needs to be on file to complete the upgrade.
What if my Project has grandfathered pricing?
If your Visibility Audit was already scheduled to repeat before subscriptions launched, it's grandfathered and stays on its current pricing through the end of 2026 unless you upgrade.
