A Project is how Gumshoe organizes your work around one brand, one product category, one location, and one language. It holds your Visibility Audit and every other audit for that combination in one place, with its own subscription.
What is inside a Project?
Every Project includes a Visibility Audit, a Pulse Audit, the Technical Audit, and content generation. Pro Projects also include the Content Audit, Sentiment Audit, and Citation Audit. Your Personas, Prompts, and Topics live in the Project too, along with its full run history, so you can see how your AI visibility changes over time.
How do Projects fit with Workspaces and company accounts?
Gumshoe is organized in a simple hierarchy:
- Company account: your top-level account and billing entity.
- Workspace: a space inside your company account, often used to separate teams, departments, or clients. A Workspace holds one or more Projects.
- Project: one brand, product category, location, and language, with its audits and its own subscription.
- User account: how you access any company accounts and Workspaces you have been invited to join.
When do I need a new Project?
Brand, product category, location, and language are set when you create a Project and lock once it exists. To track a different product line, region, or language, create a new Project. You can create as many as you need, for example one per product line or one per country.
Personas, Prompts, and Topics are different. You can edit them anytime inside an existing Project without starting over.
Does each Project have its own subscription?
Yes. Each Project has its own Starter or Pro subscription, billed on its own, so pausing or changing one Project does not affect the others. You can mix plans across your Workspace. For what each plan includes, see What's included in the Starter and Pro Subscription plans?
Where do I find my Projects?
Open Projects in the left menu. The Projects list shows every Project in your current Workspace, each with its brand, plan, status, and audits. Open any Project to see its results.
Can I move or archive a Project?
Yes. To move a whole Project, with all of its audits, into another Workspace, open the three dots menu on the Project card in the Projects list and choose Move project.
To archive a Project you no longer need, open its Settings and select Archive project. To see archived Projects again, check Show archived on the Projects list.
What should I do next?
Start your first Project. Setup takes a few minutes and your first Visibility Audit runs as soon as you finish. See How do I start a Gumshoe Project?
