Gumshoe has launched subscription plans (Starter and Pro), a simpler way to run and track a brand on a schedule. If you are already a Gumshoe customer, here is what to expect during the transition.
Are my existing Visibility Audits still priced the old way?
It depends on whether the audit was set to repeat. If your Visibility Audit (formerly known as a report) was scheduled to repeat as of August 17, 2026, it keeps running on your existing pricing, and that grandfathered pricing continues through the end of 2026. This applies to agencies and pay-as-you-go customers alike.
If your audit was not scheduled to repeat as of that date, it does not carry your old pricing forward. To run it again, move the project onto a subscription plan.
If you are not sure which applies to your audit, ask for a human over chat or email support@gumshoe.ai and we can check it for you.
Why do I see both subscriptions and a Custom option in my account?
During the transition, existing customers may see both in their account: the new subscription plans (Starter and Pro), and their current setup labeled Custom, which is the way audits worked before subscriptions. Seeing Custom on a project is expected. It means that project is on your existing grandfathered setup rather than a new subscription, and it keeps running as it always has.
New Custom projects can no longer be created. Custom reflects an existing grandfathered setup only, and new projects start on a subscription plan.
What do I get if I move to a subscription?
Subscriptions bundle more into one plan and run automatically on a schedule. Depending on the plan, that includes a Sentiment Audit, a Content Audit, a Citation Audit, and weekly or daily Pulse Audits, alongside your monthly Visibility Audit. These newer features live on the subscription plans, so subscribing is how you get them. You can compare plans on the Gumshoe pricing page: https://gumshoe.ai/#pricing.
How do I move my current setup to a subscription?
Upgrading is self-serve, and it is the same flow as any other project. Open the project and look for the banner that reads "Unlock more features with subscriptions," then select "Upgrade this project." You can also find the project’s "Upgrade now" link from your Projects list.
From there you choose your plan, with Starter and Pro shown side by side, then choose your AI models either by picking a preset or selecting them manually. You will see a running conversation count and estimated monthly cost as you go, and the full price before you confirm anything. Your existing setup carries over, so there is nothing to rebuild.
A payment method needs to be on file to complete the upgrade. If your project already runs larger than Starter allows (more than 8 personas, 10 prompts per persona, or 6 models), Starter will not be offered and you will see Pro only.
For the full walkthrough, see our Help Center article on how to upgrade your project to a paid subscription bundle.
When am I charged, and when does a subscription run?
When you start a subscription, you are charged that day and your first run begins right away. After that, the subscription renews and runs again about every 30 days, and you can choose which day of the week or month it runs on going forward. You always see the plan and the price before you confirm.
