The Gumshoe sidebar is grouped into sections that follow how you actually work in the app. The top of the sidebar lets you pick a workspace and a report. The rest is grouped into the Monitor, Act, and Configure sections, so finding the page you need depends on the action you want to take. Here's a tour from top to bottom.
What's at the top of the sidebar?
The very top of the sidebar shows your current workspace and the workspace-level pages.
- Workspace dropdown: The dropdown at the top shows the workspace you're currently in. Click it to switch to a different workspace. Account names appear in bold, with workspaces listed beneath them.
- Reports: Lists every report in your current workspace. Open any report to start working with it.
- Technical audits: A read-only view of every URL audited across all reports in the workspace.
What is the Report home section?
The report home shows the report you currently have open. Clicking the report name takes you to the report dashboard, which provides a snapshot of brand, topic, and model visibility, along with sources for that report.
What's in the Monitor section?
Monitor is where you see how AI models talk about your brand and your category. Each page gives you a different lens on the same data.
- Competitive leaderboard: See how your brand stacks up against competitors across the prompts in your report.
- Conversations: Read the actual answers AI models gave for each prompt, along with the citations they used.
- Sources: See which domains are influencing AI answers in your category.
- Trends: Track how visibility changes over time across runs.
- Buyer criteria analysis: Understand the buying criteria that AI models surface when evaluating brands like yours.
- AI brand perception: See the themes AI models use to describe your brand and your competitors.
What's in the Act section?
Act is where you apply what you learned in Monitor.
- Technical audit: Audit specific URLs to see how well they're set up for AI models.
- Content: Generate AI-optimized content based on the gaps and opportunities surfaced in your report.
What's in the Configure section?
Configure is where you set up and adjust the inputs that drive your report.
- Personas: Manage the buyer personas Gumshoe uses to simulate different audience views.
- Topics & prompts: Edit the topics and prompts that shape your report.
- Settings: Update report-level settings like models, schedule, and brand domain.
What's in the Resources section?
At the bottom of the sidebar, Resources points to extra tools and help.
