Starter and Pro are Gumshoe's two subscription plans. They include the same size Project to start, and both can grow beyond it. The difference is how often you see changes and which audits you get. Here's the full breakdown.
What does Starter include?
Starter is $99/mo and covers:
- A monthly Visibility Audit
- 8 Personas, 10 Prompts per Persona, and 6 AI models
- 480 conversations per billing period, with anything beyond that billed as overage
- Weekly Pulse Audits
- 10 Technical Audit runs per month
- 3 content generation pieces per month
Starter does not include the Content Audit, Sentiment Audit, or Citation Audit.
What does Pro include?
Pro starts at $299/mo and covers:
- A monthly Visibility Audit
- 8 Personas, 10 Prompts per Persona, and 6 AI models to start
- 480 conversations per billing period, with anything beyond that billed as overage
- Daily Pulse Audits
- 50 Technical Audit runs per month
- 10 content generation pieces per month
- The Content Audit, Sentiment Audit, and Citation Audit
- Pro-only AI models, such as the Claude (Web Search) options
- The MCP connection beta, which connects AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to your Visibility Audit data
Can my Project grow beyond what's included?
Yes, on either plan. You can add Personas, Prompts, and AI models, and any conversations beyond your plan's included amount are billed as overage. The price, overage included, is shown before you confirm. For overage pricing, see the Gumshoe pricing page.
What do the Content Audit, Sentiment Audit, and Citation Audit do?
- Content Audit: finds the content gaps costing you AI answers.
- Sentiment Audit: shows whether AI models view your brand favorably or send buyers elsewhere.
- Citation Audit: shows you the content that influences AI answers.
What does the Technical Audit do?

How does the MCP connection beta work?

Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can move a Project from Starter to Pro at any time. A Pro Project can't be moved to Starter; instead, pause the Pro Project's subscription and create a new Starter Project. See How do I upgrade my project to a paid subscription bundle?
