You're only charged for an active project subscription. Simply having an account and viewing past Visibility Audits doesn't cost anything. To stop future charges, pause the project's subscription from that project's Settings page (Project > Settings); you don't need to close your account to do this.
Gumshoe generally cannot issue refunds for a subscription renewal that ran as expected, since that charge covers the audits completed for that cycle. However, if something was billed that shouldn't have been, like an overage charge, an extra audit run, or content generated in error, let us know so we can look into it.
