If you want to share a report with someone outside Gumshoe or move a report into a shared workspace, here is how to do both.
How do I share a report publicly?
Click Share in the top right corner of any report page, then copy the link. Anyone with the link can view the report, and they do not need a Gumshoe account. They will not be able to click through to the detailed pages in the report.
How do I move a report to a workspace?
Moving a report into a workspace gives your teammates ongoing access to it inside Gumshoe. Only workspace admins can move reports out of a workspace.
- Go to the Reports list in the left-hand menu.
- Click the three dots to the right of the report you want to move.
- Click Move report.
- Select the destination workspace from the dropdown. You can move the report to a workspace only if you are a member of that workspace or an admin.
- Click Submit.
The report will now appear under that workspace's Reports tab.
What are the rules for moving reports?
Between Workspaces
- You can move a report out of a workspace only if you are a workspace admin of the original workspace.
- You can move a report into any workspace you have at least member-level access to.
- If you move a report into a workspace where you are not an admin, you will lose the ability to move it out again unless your role is upgraded.
- Workspace viewers cannot move reports.
Example: If you are an admin of both Workspace A and Workspace B, you can move reports between them freely. If you are an admin of Workspace A but only a member of Workspace B, you can move a report from A into B, but you will not be able to move it back out.
Between Company Accounts
Reports can be moved between workspaces across different company accounts.
You need an admin role in the company account where the report currently lives, and at least a member role in the destination workspace. Company account admins are automatically admins of every workspace under the account and can move reports freely between them.
